Plakia Beach

Plakia beach is a long sandy beach; it stretches along the coast alongside the road leading out of Pefkos towards Lardos. Plakia beach is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing and there are sunbeds and umbrellas for hire here as well as a cantina with food and refreshments.

This is a fine sandy beach with few rocks; the water is relatively shallow for the first 10 metres from shore and then rapidly becomes very deep. Plakia is accessible by foot and in theory also by car but be warned, the road is very bumpy and there is very little parking space or room for manoeuvre – it’s not advisable to drive down if you’re not in a 4×4!
